Research Investigator-Symptom Research CAO

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
2. Supervise and revise IACUC and IBC protocols
3. Perform tissue collection, processing, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy
4. Perform cellular (e.g., proliferation, cell death, migration assays) and molecular assays (e.g., PCR, RT-PCR, Western blots, FACS) that support projects in the laboratory
Determines specific goals or objectives to be obtained, evaluates research data and develops and revises techniques or approaches to work problems.
Designs, develops or adapts equipment used in experiments or research to obtain desired results. Functions in a separate and independent manner in the design and initiation of research experiments.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
